THE PRACTICE NURSE

The duties of the Practice Nurse include working in the Treatment Room where she will deal with emergencies, take blood tests, do dressings and remove sutures and give other necessary treatments.  She is also involved in the running of the well-person, smear, diabetic, asthma and baby clinics.

Appointments may be made with the Practice Nurse by booking them through the receptionist.  Any patient is free to make an appointment with her if they have a problem or require advice and feel that it is not necessary to consult a doctor about it.

COMMUNITY NURSES

The district nursing team are in daily contact with the Practice and available for care and advice to housebound patients.
